The green thinking in Moscow
Our time’s biggest problems are air pollution, climate change and environmental problems. The Russian government recognized this serious fact, and started to put in the common thinking the „green living”.
In the beginning of 2013, there was a black-and-white photo exhibition in Moscow, which aim was to show that „Green is Great”. British-born Matthew Webb brought the viewer closer to the idea that climate change comes from everyday activities.
The main mission of this exhibition was that to reduce the carbon emissions and energy consumption across Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
He did not want to decorate the reality. He presented the real situations as he caught on camera. Webb showed through his photos the contact between traditional lifestyle and green living.
The main massage was: think globally, act locally.
